Chemical Safety and Health Awareness Course

Advise the company on matters pertaining to safety and health.Conduct weekly inspection to ensure the compliance of safety requirement and health standards.

Course Information

This course is designed to provide awareness among workers in industries on various hazards of chemicals and their safe handling.

 By the end of the course, participants will be able to be familiar with:

  • Various legislative requirements related to safe chemical handling
  • Appropriate knowledge of hazards and dangers of working with chemicals
  • Information contained in material safety data sheets
  • Hazard signs and safety precautions when working with some typical chemical substances

People who have the potential to be exposed to chemicals in the workplace

Time: 9am – 5pm
Duration: 8 hours

Class will commence with a minimum of 5 pax, and a maximum of 10pax per course

  • Latest WSH Act and legal requirements
  • Identifying hazardous substances
  • Risk Assessment principles
  • Overview of risks associated with chemical use
  • Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Overview of Personnel Protection Equipment
  • Safe work practices for chemical handling, transporting, storage and disposal
  • Chemical emergency response procedures

There will be no assessment

Participants will be awarded a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the course.
