Chemical Safety and Health Awareness Course

This course is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge of chemical safety and health, enabling them to recognise chemical hazards, understand the potential health effects of chemical exposure, and adopt appropriate safe work practices when handling and working with hazardous chemicals.

Course Information

This course is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge of chemical safety and health, enabling them to recognise chemical hazards, understand the potential health effects of chemical exposure, and adopt appropriate safe work practices when handling and working with hazardous chemicals.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify common chemical hazards and routes of exposure.
  • Understand the potential health effects of hazardous chemicals.
  • Interpret chemical labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazard information.
  • Apply safe practices for the handling, storage and use of chemicals.
  • Select and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Respond appropriately to chemical spills, exposure and other emergencies.

Construction workers and managers that are responsible for the safety of their job site.

Time: 9am – 1pm
Duration: 4 hours

Class will commence with a minimum of 5 pax, and a maximum of 10pax per course

There will be no assessment

Participants will be awarded a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the course.
