General Safety Awareness Course

This course is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge of workplace safety, helping them recognise common hazards, understand basic safety requirements, and adopt safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

Course Information

This course is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge of workplace safety, helping them recognise common hazards, understand basic safety requirements, and adopt safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to be familiar with:

  • WSH Act and legislation
  • General duties and responsibilities of employers and employees in workplace safety and health
  • Hazard and risk awareness
  • Accident reporting and prevention

All employees have responsibilities under the health and safety at work act.

Time: 9am – 5pm
Duration: 8 hours

Class will commence with a minimum of 5 pax, and a maximum of 10 pax per course

  • WSH Act and legislation overview
  • Roles and Responsibilities pf employers and employees
  • Identifying hazards and risks (risk assessment)
  • Common workplace hazards and controls
  • Accident causation theory
  • Ways to prevent accident
  • Reporting an accident

There will be no assessment

Participants will be awarded a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the course.
